Ask your U.S. Senators to ensure that people who are incarcerated at the federal, state, and local level are able to get vaccines as soon as possible!

We are one year into the COVID-19 pandemic that has ravaged our communities, both free and incarcerated. Americans behind bars, who are often packed in close quarters with inadequate standards of care, especially need our political leaders to move swiftly and to be prioritized for vaccination.

The prison pandemic in the United States has demonstrated the inequities of our system and the deadly cost of inaction with a crisis of this scale, but we can still make our voices heard for the over 2 million people locked up at this time of urgency.

Dear Senator,

As your constituent, I urge you to ensure that the current pandemic relief legislation, as well as all other relevant legislation, includes robust funding to ensure the equitable distribution of vaccines for people who are incarcerated at the federal, state, and local levels.

This virus has shown us that every American is at risk, no matter who they are or where they live. Incarcerated people are among the most vulnerable populations during this pandemic, which is why it is vital that you help to ensure that they are able to receive vaccinations as soon as possible, and in a manner that prioritizes safety and compassion.

Thank you for protecting the most vulnerable people during this ongoing crisis.
