Join the Formerly Incarcerated Union of Rhode Island as we host the RI Day of Empathy. Our event will highlight the voices of directly impacted leaders as they share their stories during and following incarceration to drive change. Directly impacted leaders will then be joined by RI legislators, a former department of correction administrator and advocates to discuss efforts to reduce the harms of the criminal legal system here in RI.

Empathy Network advocates and organizers across our nation will seek to explore the role of empathy in changing existing policies and practices in our criminal legal system.
