The pandemic has exposed the importance of public transit in our communities.  We know that #TransitIsEssential for riders who rely on buses and trains to get to work, access healthcare, visit loved ones, and more.

Over 3 million households could lose reliable transit service if Congress doesn’t fund U.S. transit agencies.

Our call to fund transit is being heard, the House passed $32 billion for transit in the newest #HEREOSAct! Now, we need Senators to show up for workers & riders and pass $32 billion for transit. One way to raise the profile of this important issue is through the media. That’s why we’re asking you to send a letter directly to the editor of your local newspaper calling on your U.S. Senator to fully fund transit.

It’s simple! Start by entering your information, the newspaper(s) in your area will populate automatically. Choose the one you’d like to submit to, then use the provided talking points and writing tips to create your letter. Remember to add your personal story about how transit cuts would impact you or your community!

When you’re done writing, click submit and your letter will be sent.
